Brand Identity
UNCONTAINABLE is a design-driven storytelling brand developed within The Unwritten Archive. It serves as the visual and conceptual framework through which participant narratives are translated into material form.
The identity system merges archival structure with expressive disruption. A combination of monospace and contemporary typefaces references documentation and storytelling, while a custom-designed type system introduces variation between constraint and freedom. The brand prioritizes tactile materials and fabric-based imagery, allowing the physical qualities of the work to lead the visual language.
Through typography, color, and form, UNCONTAINABLE reflects the project’s central idea: that identity cannot be fixed or contained, but is continuously shaped and redefined.
